Careful hands, start to finish
Solar Panel Removal and Reinstallation in Richton Park
What does it take to get an array off a roof and back on without a scratch or a leak? Here is our whole method.
Why Does a Detach and Reset Need Real Craft?
Because every shortcut shows up later. A module set down on its edge can crack. A connector forced apart can fail months after the reset. A mount reused on a new roof can let water in. So we do this work slowly and deliberately. It begins with a record: photos of the array, a layout sketch, notes on how the wiring runs and a reading of current output. Then comes a careful electrical shutdown and disconnect. Modules come off one at a time, by hand, and each one is marked to its position. Rails, clamps and conduit follow, and every part goes on an inventory sheet. The whole system rests in padded, dry storage while your roofer works. When the new roof is finished, we set fresh mounts into it and re-flash every roof penetration, so the seal at each attachment is as good as the roof around it. Modules return to the exact places they came from. Connections are made up again, the array is energized, and its production is weighed against the reading from the start. Only then do we hand over the documentation. Richton Park has plenty of homes whose roofs are coming due under an array, and this is the work we take the most pride in.
Every Step We Take on a Detach and Reset
No step gets skipped, no matter the size of the array.
A record of the array
Photos, a layout sketch, wiring notes and an output reading before any work.
Shutdown and disconnect
Power isolated carefully so the roof is safe to work on.
Hand removal
Modules lifted off one at a time and marked to their spots.
Rails and conduit off
Racking and wiring removed, leaving nothing on the deck.
Padded storage
Every part logged, cushioned and kept out of the weather.
New mounts, new flashing
Brand-new hardware anchored into the replaced roof, with every hole flashed correctly.
Exact reinstallation
Modules returned to their original places and wired back together.
Tested and recorded
Output compared to the starting reading and the job documented.
Three Stages of the Work
Look, record, quote
We come out, document the array and its output and give you a firm, itemized price, usually within 48 hours. Dates are set to sit just ahead of your roofer's tear-off.
Take it down properly
The system is shut down and disconnected. Modules come off by hand, then rails and conduit, and everything is logged and stored.
Set it back and prove it
Fresh mounts and flashing go into the finished roof. Modules return to their places, the system is reconnected and output is checked against the starting reading.
Why Do Homeowners Trust Us With This?
We take our time
Careful handling at every step is what keeps modules and connectors in good shape.
The numbers have to match
We compare output before and after, and the job is done when they line up.
Nothing old on a new roof
Every attachment is new and every penetration is flashed again.
- Array recorded
- Hand removal
- Fresh flashing
- Output matched
Is a Reroof on the Calendar?
Give us the roofer's date and your module count. We will explain the work and put an itemized number in front of you.
